Soaps Made this Week!

I have been a busy bee this week making Peppermint Soap and an Energy Soap for my hubby. Here are the pictures below:

Peppermint Soap:
The picture on the bottom in the middle is an Arby's Andes Mint Peppermint shake. I have been looking at that image for at least 8 months dreaming of creating a peppermint soap that looked like it. I think I did a good job. I think I will pipe the white on the top of the soap next time.

Energy Soap:
I brought some "manly scents" from New Directions and one of the fragrance oils was called Energy. My hubby gravitated to it and wanted a soap using that scent. I wanted to add some kind of colors to the soap to symbolize that. So I ended up on pinterest and found the color combo on the top left. Next to it is what the soap looked like when it was wet. The other pictures are when it was cut. The colors look good on the top, but kind of morphed when I cut them on the inside. I love the color combos and I will probably try a different technique where we can see the individual colors. The fragrance oils smells great.
Well I hope you enjoyed what we have been doing in the lab. The Peppermint Soap will be available in six weeks.

Our next posts will feature a small business and what soaps we have available RIGHT NOW!

Have a great Day!

What is Cooking in the Kitchen?

Peppermint is cooking in the kitchen today. I made a test batch of Peppermint soap containing of course, peppermint essential oil. It will also have spirulina for color and green tea for antioxidants. A pick me up that is good for your skin. :)

I will have pictures available after it is taken out of the mold.
