Soaps Made this Week!

I have been a busy bee this week making Peppermint Soap and an Energy Soap for my hubby. Here are the pictures below:

Peppermint Soap:
The picture on the bottom in the middle is an Arby's Andes Mint Peppermint shake. I have been looking at that image for at least 8 months dreaming of creating a peppermint soap that looked like it. I think I did a good job. I think I will pipe the white on the top of the soap next time.

Energy Soap:
I brought some "manly scents" from New Directions and one of the fragrance oils was called Energy. My hubby gravitated to it and wanted a soap using that scent. I wanted to add some kind of colors to the soap to symbolize that. So I ended up on pinterest and found the color combo on the top left. Next to it is what the soap looked like when it was wet. The other pictures are when it was cut. The colors look good on the top, but kind of morphed when I cut them on the inside. I love the color combos and I will probably try a different technique where we can see the individual colors. The fragrance oils smells great.
Well I hope you enjoyed what we have been doing in the lab. The Peppermint Soap will be available in six weeks.

Our next posts will feature a small business and what soaps we have available RIGHT NOW!

Have a great Day!

Hello World,

I know you have missed me as much as I have missed this blog. Looking back on a few of the post I have written over the years has shown me how much I have changed. But we are still here grinding and hustling to with Shea Bath Products and mastering our craft to bring you great bath products and to educate you on what is great for your body.

I have been primarily posting my Shea Bath shenanigan on facebook. You can see what's happening over here. I will dip in and out of my blog to post pictures of what is up and coming for Shea Bath as well as what is going on in my personal life. What I wish to make public. :)

The weekend is here and you know what that means. Time to make soap.

Have a great day!

President Baraka Obama - 2nd Term

I know it has been some time since I last posted on this lonely blog. But I had to christen my page with a few pictures of our President who will be in office for a second term. I just appreciate the history that is developing in front of our eyes. Both good and bad. It will be something to talk about to the generations.

Entrepreneur Love - Diaper Creations

Just want to show some love to a good friend of mine, Elaina Caldwell. She has started a new venture called Diaper Creations. These adorable shower gifts take diaper cakes to a whole new level. These gifts may look like diaper cakes w/different tiers or diaper babies. But what makes them extra special is that the inside of every gift can be customized based on what you want to give the special baby. Bottles, pacifiers, washcloths, the skies the limit. Elaina has just started out and is already busy with orders. :) Please email her (Prbutterfly1973@comcast.net) for further information. Take a gander at the pictures below and contact her if you are in the market for a one of a kind baby shower gift:

Back in the Lab - Part 2

Although I have to bid my week long vacation farewell on Wednesday, it was not a total loss. I was able to make some fabulous soaps this week. One was my Tropical Breeze soap. There are no photos of this creation because we will need to change how this one turn out.

I also made Lavender Dreams soap that is displayed below:

Both soaps are made with the following:
Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil & Shea Butter. The Tropical Breeze soap has oatmeal for exfoliation. I am most proud of how the swirls are very prominent in the above soap. Both soaps smell divine. Sorry no smellovision here folks. You just have to line up to purchase your own. :)

Look out for the Lavender Dream soap, Whipped Shea Body Butter and Bath Salts as part of our new product line soon. :)

Back in the Lab

Your girl is back in the lab again taking advantage of my week off. The goal today was to make body butter for the family. I also wanted to make some bath salts and sugar scrubs. The bath salts turned out scrumptious take a look:

The top one is Tropical Breeze and the bottom one is Lavendar Dreams. I look forward to adding these to the new product line.

There are no pretty pictures of my sugar scrub because my experiment was a bust. But I plan to try again either tonight or tomorrow.

But I am feeling pretty good about what I accomplished today. As we speak, I have the Tropical Breeze soap bars curing and should be ready in a month.

30 Day Cardio Challenge - Day 25

I am off for the rest of the week,so I decided to venture further than normal. I jogged 1 1/2 miles to the nearest park. I thought I would have been able to jog around the walking trail. But I only made it half way. Still a good accomplishment bearing in mind I laid off working out yesterday.

Tuesday evening I did DVD 1 of P90x. This consisted of a Chest/Back and Ab workout. Needless to say my chest is still tight.

Looking forward to the transformation. :)
