First Snow/Ice of the Year :)

We live in Georgia. Yes Georgia. My kids are all excited and hopeful that they will not be attending school tomorrow.

For whatever reason, I went outside and took this picture and my eldest daughter asked me what did the snow feel like ?????. I blurted out like snow. Duh! I thought about this afterward and said to my husband, I must be old because this stuff does not move me the same way it did when I was young. You have to understand, I am from NY where if it snowed like this you still had to go to school and you better be there on time. The only way we got out of going to school was if there was a blizzard. That happened every once in awhile.

Anyway, I realized at that point that I was old and did not have the same naive excitement my daughter has. We need to have the zeal and excitement of an eight year old. LOL To be able to have no fear, allow your heart to skip a bit over every little thing. This 35 year old learned alot from her daughter in that moment. Live life excited all the time.

Treasure Map 2008

I am really excited about the meeting I had this past Sunday. My friend from church invited me to a Treasure Map workshop. If you are familiar with "The Secret" then you know what a treasure map or success map is. If you don't simply, you get cardboard, line up old magazines and start cutting out things from those magazines that catch your attention. For some the images or words are things you want to achieve for the coming year or things you may need to work on. You make a collage using the magazine cutouts and your board. Basically, if you envision the things you have displayed on your map, you have started the process for them to manifest into your lives. You do have to do the work to get to the places you envision for yourself on your map. This just gives you clear focus as to what you seek. I met several ladies that have done a treasure map and just about everything came to pass for them.

Here is a link for some information on
treasure maps. Let me know your thoughts on the whole concept

What are your thoughts? Do you have a treasure map or success map? Comments are welcome.

Blog Post I am Proud Of :)

I started back making soaps last year via Brambleberry's Cold Process
Soapmaking DVD. I communicated with the owner Anna-Marie Faiola
regarding my process and she was so happy with my results that she
gave me a mention on her blog

I Heart Gerberas

It's me again. But who else would it be. Let me tell you. I heart Gerbera Daisies. Fresh ones to be exact. I used to have a fetish for tulips but these flowers are the sooo beautiful.

I will add pictures to the blog of gerberas that I have seen either online or in my daily life.
I am currently looking at some white daisies that my hubby brought last week. I have been keeping these flowers alive for about a week now.

Picture to be added later.

Until next time.

I am feeling kind of restless today. I have not gotten back in a groove since the Christmas holiday and my family being home. Now that the kids are back in school, I have not gotten my groove back into what I want to. But I have to constantly remind myself not to beat myself up. I want to do it all but I cannot.

Happy New Year

Hello,
It is 2008. It is a new year. It is a time to set goals and see them
accomplished. Do I believe in dreams, yes. I always thought dreams
were for other people. But when the ones I see keep on reoccurring
in my mind, then I know that these have to be made a reality. I am hungry for
a change for myself, for my family. Now is the time for that change.

Peace,

Diana
