Just to let you all know that I have finally found a job. I will be taking Worker's Compensation and Insurance claims for companies in the United States and Canada. So my days of being in front of the computer answering emails and being on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc will have to wait until I get home at night. I will be in front of the computer all day but in a different capacity.
I will however, still blog and chat it up with all my Tweets when I have a free chance. The purpose of this job is to bring in substantial income to Shea Bath up and running. I have noticed that there are a lot of people who have a traditional "9 to 5" and still have a hustle on the side. I applaud them and look forward to when I can make this hustle a full time gig. As my friend Cee Cee from Neo Soul Products reminded me, "Don't forget to make time for your body butter". The advice is well taken and I will be sticking in business after work every chance I get.
What about you? Do you have a "9 to 5" in addition to your side business? Or is your side business the only business? This inquiring mind wants to know. :)

I do have a 9-5, but it's just that! It pays the bills, but my passion definitely lies in my crafting which I hope to turn into my full time gig in the next 5 years.
I do not have a 9-5, but being at home with two little ones under 4 (and my oldest 5 in kindergarten) it's not like I can get a whole lot done during the day, so in a way I still have to make time for my business. However, being at home does give me flexibility to work on the biz when I have a spare moment!
Congrats on your new job!
I do have a 9-5 job. My job was my only means I had to finance my business start-up. I did not want to finance my business on credit. It is difficult holding a full-time job, going home to your family and working on your business start-up. Shea it is worth all the hard work and long hours! Good Luck to you Shea!
I work 9-5 to pay the bills, also. I soap at night and on weekends. I would love to get the courage together to say *screw it* - just go for it, you know? But debt isn't fun. So, it's slow and steady in the meantime.
BIG congratulations on your job!!!! I am so happy for you. I knew it was just a matter of time. You had sown many seeds and now are reaping the harvest.
@Jewells - Thanks Sis. Yes it was all in God's timing despite what it looks like now.
Congrats on your job and the stability it will help bring.
It will be worth it - you'll see - you need to work harder than everyone else to get ahead and that's okay.
You have to do what others WON'T in order to get ahead and that hard work and long hours is often what others won't.
Good luck ... and good work!
@am
Thank you for the encouragement. :) Yes it is hard work and I look forward to reaping those benefits in the long run.
